About

Adele MartinAdele, who began her training aged just 16, is still as passionate about beauty therapy as she was on her first day of training. The longest-serving therapist in the Tauranga-Mt Maunganui area and a member of the NZ Association of Registered Beauty Therapists, Adele fondly recalls one particular teacher – Joyce Blok, founder of New Zealand’s first professional beauty therapy school and developer of this country’s first professional skin-care line – who, she says, still inspires her to strive for the highest standard.

Over the years Adele has developed a strong focus on using plant-based skin-care products, particularly those that are organic and made in New Zealand. But being packed full of goodness isn’t enough, they must also show results. “I want people leaving here looking better – and feeling better about themselves,” she says. “Working with the richest, kindest products I can find is only one of the ways I can achieve this.”

Her clinic is a welcoming, peaceful and private space which offers the chance, for a time, to leave the world behind while relaxing into a signature treatment that both nurtures and refreshes.

When Adele’s not at her clinic she’s often to be found in her organic garden tending to a myriad of flowers and vegetables. “One of the joys of gardening is being able to bring flowers into the clinic and share their beauty with clients,” she says. “Life is too short not to be immersed in beauty.”
